Our Little Sweetie

Could she get any cuter?

Madison has times when she is so happy and laughs at every little thing we do, and at times cries and cries. Good thing she's so cute when shes happy.

Back to School

School started for me a week ago and I've been taking classes on campus for the first time since Madison was born. It's been pretty busy taking 14 credits and taking care of a family, but it will be worth it when I graduate this summer. This semester I'm taking some fun classes that go towards my minor. I'm taking 3 sewing classes, a pattern making class, home decor sewing, and a clothing sewing class. I am also taking an Interior Design class and a Family History class, which I think will be a great class for me. I really am interesting in knowing how to do family history so I can work on my own. I feel such a strong spirit when I am in that class, I know that it is something I need to be doing in my life.

A few days ago Madison turned 6 months old! It's amazing how fast time flies. This is the day she came home from the hospital.

This is her six months later. What a big difference! My tiny baby isn't so tiny anymore!

Family Pictures

While we were in Meridian, Alex's wonderful sister Mackenzie took some family pictures for us. Madison was so cooperative and good for us!
This is the longest Madison had sat up by herself for. She sat there for a good five mintues while her picture was being taken.

Summer Vacation

This summer for vacation we went down to Meridian for a family reunion with Alex's family. All of his siblings were able to make it, so it was nice to see everyone together. One of the days we went to Roaring Springs. It was Madison's first time swimming so I didn't know how the day would go. We got her a cute little swimming suit and headed off to play.

Although she doesn't look too happy in this picture, she did really good in the water. She liked the little fountains of water that came out of the ground. It was really cute to watch her try to grab the water. Of course I didn't get out the camera until she was tired and done with this experience.

So tired after a long fun day at the water park.

Solids

We started Madison on solid foods when she was about five months. She wasn't too sure about them at first, but now seems to enjoy them quite a bit. She loves trying to help us feed her by grabbing the spoon when it gets near her mouth. She usually ends up with food in her hair, on the high chair, and on whoever is feeding her. It's a pain to clean up, but its cute to watch her grow and learn. She also loves to drink from her sippy cup, and from our water bottles and glasses too, which usually ends up getting us all pretty wet.

A Special New Toy

Our good friend Dave from Freshman Academy gave Madison his stuffed dog that he had when he was little. Dave even took it with him on his mission to Nicaragua. When he gave it to us he warned us that it needed washed since it went to Nicaragua with him, and it probably had parasites. This is how we came up with the dog's name, Parasite.
Thanks uncle Dave for the puppy, I love to play with him. -Madison

Sunday Afternoon

Everyone loves their Sunday afternoon naps. I don't think she could get any more comfy.
