Winter 2012

This winter we actually got to go outside with Madison and play. It was so fun to see her discovering new things. She loved the snow and was so interested in it. One of Madison's favorite things to do this winter was build snowmen. She was pretty sad when it melted though.
Well this is one of Madison's newfound favorite things to do. Get pulled around on our snowshovel around the yard. This girl could ride on this forever if only mom and dad could keep going. I lost count how many times we ran around the yard. Got to love cheap entertainment.

Madison the Builder

Madison can build a tower out of anything. Usually it is blocks, but most recently she built one with my spices. She took this very seriously and spend a good 20 minutes getting it just right.

This is her celebrating that she got three stacked without knocking them over.
She loves to help and be in the middle of everything.

Halloween 2011

Last year I took similar pictures of Madison doing this same thing. Getting into the Halloween candy. Its amazing how fast they grow up.

I'm innocent mom. I was just looking.

Madison was a bunny this year for Halloween but I didn't take any pictures! Oh well just imagine her as a cute white bunny! She loved hopping around and pointing at her tail and ears. Alex and I aren't big on Halloween so we just dressed Madison up and took her to see some of our friends. It was fun and we just got to relax.

Fall Time

So last Halloween we carved a pumpkin and Madison was pretty entertained by it so I decided to do it again this year thinking she would like it. She liked watching, but didn't want anything to do with the insides. All she would do was point and tell me there was a mess. Her favorite part was putting a candle in it and watching it glow.
When I was younger my mom always took pictures of us playing in the leaves so I thought I would take one of Madison. I made a nice big pile, showed her how to play in them and throw them in the air, and grabbed the camera to capture her having a blast. But I didn't get the reaction I expected....
She through a huge fit. She didn't want to touch the leaves let alone stand in them. And of course I left her in there long enough to get some pictures and laugh.
This is after the tramatic experience. I can just she her saying,
"Mom what were you thinking putting me in there?"
Hopefully she likes the leaves more next year.

The First Snow of the Year

The first snow of Rexburg came October 6th and Madison was pretty excited there was white stuff falling from the sky. We grabbed our coats and headed out to enjoy it before it melted.

It was so cute to see her laugh and try to catch the snow. I love how the simplest things we take for granted are so imporant and interesting to her. Makes me re-look at how I view a lot of things. Soon after this we decided to go buy her some snow clothes and boots so she could enjoy the snow, since we figured it would stick around. But it didn't. Madison was pretty upset when I made her go back in because her little hands were frozen and her face was red, she wanted to stay outside!
We really haven't got much snow this year, if we get much it is just enough to cover the grass and melts by the next day. So much for the head to toe snow gear we got her. Hopefully it snows enough we can get it out.

Playing Catch Up - Part 1

Ok so it has been forever since I've had time to get on here. So here's whats been happening in our lives the past few months. Heres Madison at 17 months showing off her cheesy smile. We would say to her, give us some cheese and she would give us the biggest toothy grin. Aren't the pony tails cute! She finally has enough hair to get two little ones.

Here she is playing Just Dance on the Wii. She thought it was so fun to shake the remote and dance just like Sydney.
Madison loves to pretend to feed her baby. She has us put the baby in her high chair and get a spoon to feed her with. Adorable. She also likes to share her food with everything, even if it is just a picture of a person in a book.

She loves copying everything we do. Including looking at the grocery store adds, jabbering and pointing at pictures, then colors on it and rips them up.
Falling asleep while eating. Hilarious. She would fall asleep, wake up just enough to giggle and smile at me and fall back asleep.I have a great video I will have to put up on here. It will definately make you smile.
This is how she eats her snack in the morning. Laying on the couch all relaxed watching her shows.
